PTS/SP CourseScientology's ClaimsScientology claims the PTS/SP course teaches participants to "detect and handle suppressive persons". Suppressive persons (SPs) are defined in various Scientology publications as antisocial personalities and people who "violently oppose any betterment activity or group". Hubbard stated that 2.5% of the population are SPs. The CourseThe PTS/SP Course includes lectures and readings. The lectures include "Scientology Zero", "Suppressives and GAEs", "Antisocial Personality", "Handling the PTS", and "Organization and Ethics." It includes study of the Scientology tone scale, a bulletin on the evils of psychiatrists, overt acts, a bulletin entitled "Critics of Scientology" (" ... it is totally hopeless and fatal not to be a Scientologist."), two writings on Psychosis, an e-meter read called a "rock slam", and handling PTS people and situations. How Long and How Much?According to a 2006 price list, the PTS/SP Course costs $1100 US. (That's the rate for IAS members; it's $1175 for non-members.) According to What is Scientology?, the course takes about three weeks full-time to complete. |
