Purification Rundown

The Purification Rundown is a potentially dangerous program of exercise, sauna, and megadoses of vitamins.

Scientology's Claims

Scientology claims it removes toxins stored in the body's fat. Scientists and doctors have gone on record to say it does not produce the results Scientology claims. Published "success stories" in What is Scientology? claim the Purif improved a woman's hearing and increased her IQ and helped an artist finish artwork faster.

Stealth Scientology

The Purification Rundown is a major component of Scientology's Narconon and Criminon programs. It was offered to New York firefighters, some of whom were recruited into Scientology.

How Long and How Much?

The Purif typically takes four to five weeks and costs $1500-$2000 in the US. A 2006 issue of Scientology's Gateway magazine put the price at $1500, or $1200 for lifetime members of the IAS.
