Tom Cruise chooses a new publicist, Paul Bloch, replacing his sister, Scientologist Lee Anne DeVette.

In March 2004, Cruise broke with longtime publicist Pat Kingsley, and hired his sister as his new publicist. During her tenure, Cruise was much more outspoken about his involvement in Scientology, his opposition to psychiatric treatment, and his relationship with fiancee Katie Holmes.

DeVette will oversee Cruise's charitable campaigns.
