$CIENTOLOGY CHARGED IN LISA'S DEATH

On November 13, 1998, the state of Florida charged Scientology with two felonies in the death of Lisa McPherson, a Scientologist who died in their custody in 1995:

Count 1: ABUSE, AND/OR NEGLECT OF A DISABLED ADULT
Count 2: UNAUTHORIZED PRACTICE OF MEDICINE

$cientology policy mandates holding people against their will and giving them the silent treatment. $cientology calls this abusive practice "The Introspection Rundown."

ACCORDING TO $CIENTOLOGY'S OWN LOGS, Lisa was held against her will and drugged. When she escaped, they followed her to the hospital and brought her back. When she became violent, they held her down and gave her sedatives.

Lisa was not the only victim of $cientology's insane policies: Marianne Coenan, Cat Morrow, Gitte Mogensen, Heidi Degro, David Voorhies, and many others were subjected to the Introspection Rundown.

Lisa was not the only Scientologist to die under disturbing and suspicious circumstances: so did Josephus Havenith, Noah Lottick, Susan Meister, Bob Mills, John Buchanan, Richard Collins, Patrice Vic, Rudolf Willems, Karen Simon, Rodney Rimando, Margarit Winkelmann, Peter Frei, and others.
