                                    INVESTIGATIVE REPORT

This investigative report is regarding investigative assistance provided by the Florida Department
of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to the Clearwater Police Department (CPD) who are investigating the
suspicious death of LISA McPHERSON W/F 02/10/1959.

This investigative report refers to investigative lead #02 concerning additional follow-up regarding
the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (N.A.I.L.B.A.) convention held
on 15 November 1995. Victim LISA McPHERSON and several employees of AMC Publishing
attended the N.A.I.L.B.A. Convention between 15-18 November 1995. Upon reviewing reports
received from the Church of Scientology a written report was provided whereas AMC Publishing
co-worker Craig Burton documented Victim LISA McPHERSONs behavior while she was at the
NAILBA convention. Further, it was learned during AMC Publishing employee interviews, co-
worker Brenda Hubert had also written and submitted a report about LISA's behavior while in
attendance at the conference. Although both Burton and Hubert are employees of AMC
Publishing their reports were turned into "someone" at the Church of Scientology Fort Harrison
Hotel. Both reports, Burton and Hubert, indicate McPHERSON exhibited unusual and
inappropriate behavior while she was at the convention in Orlando, Florida.

On 4 March 1997 Special Agent (SA) Sharon L. Feola contacted convention sponsor, JOSEPH
NORMANDY. NORMANDY is responsible for setting up the arrangements for the NAILBA
convention. NORMANDY stated he recalls the 1995 insurance convention held at the Buena
Vista Palace in Orlando, Florida. NORMANDY stated there were approximately 80 booths at the
convention and stated he did not know if he could recall what firms were represented or who was
in attendance. SA Feola asked NORMANDY if an attendance record or floor plan was available.
NORMANDY stated he would have no problem obtaining convention attendees and would
provide SA Feola with all available information.

SA Feola asked NORMANDY specifically about AMC Publishing and the employees who
represented AMC Publishing. NORMANDY stated he is very familiar with AMC Publishing as the
employees of AMC assisted with convention registrations on the first day of the convention.
NORMANDY stated he recalls AMC Publishing employees assisting with the registration but
could not recall exactly which employees. NORMANDY stated he does not recall LISA
